Community
The support group you wish you'd had at 42.
Stories, solidarity, and the collective sigh of relief when someone says "oh thank god, me too." The full community opens soon — join the list now and help shape it as a founding member.
No dumb questions
Is this perimenopause or am I dying? Everyone here has asked both. Ask again, louder.
No miracle cures
If someone's selling a hormone-balancing miracle, we'll say so. Evidence or it didn't happen.
No age shame
You're not 'getting old', you're going through a biological transition with an awful PR team. We're the rebrand.
The Perimenoporn Safe Space Promise
A safe space, by design.
A safe space is not something we simply declare. We have to design it, moderate it and earn it. This should be a place where women can ask intimate, embarrassing, emotional or medically sensitive questions without being judged, harassed, sold to, or made to feel stupid. So here is what we promise:
You can talk about the stuff you don't talk about anywhere else.
You control your identity. You don't have to publicly identify yourself to participate.
We actively moderate. Harassment, judgement, predatory behavior and deliberate misinformation aren't welcome here.
Your experience is yours. There isn't one right way to experience or manage perimenopause.
We'll tell you what's evidence and what's opinion. Personal experiences are valuable, but they're not the same as medical evidence.
Commercial interests will be visible. Nobody gets to secretly sell to you.
Your health conversations aren't a product. We won't sell your sensitive health conversations to advertisers.
You can report anything that makes you uncomfortable. And a human will look at it.
Most importantly, we'll listen. A safe community isn't something we create once — it's something the women in it help us build.
The name might be provocative. Your experience isn't entertainment. We can laugh about perimenopause without laughing at each other.
In their words
"I thought I was losing my mind. Turns out it was Tuesday, and also perimenopause."
"My doctor said 'your labs are normal.' This community said 'get a better doctor.' Both were right."
"Finally, a place where 'I want to scream at my family' is met with 'same' and an actual plan."
Quotes are illustrative of what founding members are saying in early conversations — the community space itself is opening soon.
Be in the room when it opens.
The room isn't open yet — but the work already is. Meg answers real reader questions every two weeks in Ask Meg, and The Hot Flash lands in the same inbox on the same schedule. Join the list and you'll be first through the door when it opens, with a say in how it runs.
