About
One woman. One mission: stop the whispering.

Meet the founder
Hi, I'm Meg — a 46-year-old nurse practitioner with years of experience in women's health, as well as entering the beloved phase of perimenopause myself. Perimenoporn is my answer to the questions we all ask ourselves: the embarrassing ones, the slightly silly ones and the serious ones.
I have heard the same story over and over — symptoms dismissed, options unexplained, being told "it's just stress." Well, it's not. Well, not all of it. And here is my answer. I want to provide you with the tools so that when you are in the office with your provider, those 15–20 minutes are meaningful and beneficial to you. I want you to be heard and seen, and your health concerns valued.
I want this space to feel safe. I want this community to be candid with me, with each other. Let's laugh at the absurd parts, but feel vulnerable enough to share the not-so-funny parts — even the scary parts.
Join me. Join the revolution. Let's upend the status quo. We, as a community, can rewrite the rules — redefine what it means to be a woman aging in a man's world.
If you have concerns or questions, please reach out to me on the Ask Meg tab. A biweekly Hot Flash newsletter is on its way, so please sign up and start sharing with friends and colleagues.
Why the name? Because shame is boring.
Half of the population goes through perimenopause. Almost nobody talks about it honestly. We chose a name you can't ignore — equal parts provocation and punchline — because polite silence has had decades to solve this problem and hasn't.
Underneath the cheek is a serious operation: clinically reviewed advice, evidence-based medical information, a real community, and a promise that it stays a safe space.

Come build this with us.
We're early. Founding members, first readers and loud opinions all welcome.
